Federal employees will be able to add more money to their Thrift Savings Plan accounts next year under a change the IRS announced last week. Starting in 2026, the annual contribution limit will increase to $24,500, up from the current $23,500.

This morning, the IRS informed employees that they won’t receive their back pay until Nov. 24 or as late as Dec. 8. At the same time, the administration yesterday provided a Nov. 19 time frame for when most federal workers will receive their first paycheck in more than a month.
