Discover a rewarding virtual volunteer opportunity with the Federal Employee Education and Assistance Fund (FEEA). NTEU members are invited to join the Scholarship Selection Committee to assist in the selection process of merit-based scholarships to deserving students.
Each year FEEA receives almost 3,000 college scholarship applications from the best and brightest students across the U.S. FEEA works with over 200 volunteers from a variety of academic and professional backgrounds, who help us review, score, and rank our applicants.
FEEA provides the training you need to review and score applications for the 2026 scholarships. Applications will be available in mid-March of 2026, requires 10-15 hours of your time and can be done from anywhere. Volunteers review and score 30-40 applications online. Each application includes an essay, list of community and extracurricular activities, transcript, and reference letter, as well as some basic information about the applicant .
This opportunity is perfect for anyone looking to make a positive impact and your contribution can make a real difference in the lives of federal families.
FEEA is the only independent charity solely devoted to providing emergency financial assistance and higher education scholarships to civilian federal and postal public servants and their families.
NTEU is a founding member of FEEA and National President Doreen Greenwald serves on the FEEA Board of Directors.
