Join as a Retiree Member

When you began your career in the federal government, NTEU was looking out for you. As a federal retiree, we are still here for you. By joining NTEU, or continuing your membership, you will help us fight to protect your hard-earned retirement while enjoying benefits that help keep your retirement on track. See what NTEU offers for only $42 per year in dues.

NTEU closely monitors legislation, beating back proposals that threaten your hard-earned, well-deserved benefits. Every year, we work to:

We Fight for Retirees

  • Stop efforts by the administration or Congress to reduce retirement benefits and Federal Employees Health Benefit Program (FEHBP) coverage;

  • Fight against escalating prescription drugs costs;

  • Protect cost-of-living adjustment (COLAs) and federal pensions;

  • Ensure the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) maintains its independence and low fees; and

  • Track Social Security and Medicare proposals to ensure federal retiree access continues.

As a retiree member of NTEU, you support our efforts and help ensure a secure future for you and those currently serving our federal government.

Your NTEU membership does NOT automatically roll over into your retirement. You must join NTEU as a retiree member to remain active in your union and connected with friends and colleagues.
