Chapter 173 (CBP Detroit) is supporting members of the United Auto Workers on strike at Ford’s Michigan Assembly Plan in Wayne.
The chapter reached out to the striking workers to see how NTEU could help and got a list of supplies. On Monday morning, Chapter 173 President Robert Holland and Executive Vice President Scott Rayburn delivered trash bags, disposable cups and hot chocolate for the cool nights when workers are out on the picket line.
“We met with a group of members and wished them luck,” said Holland. “They were very grateful for our donation.”
NTEU joins Chapter 173 in proudly standing with our fellow union members fighting for their rights. Visit the UAW website for ways to show your support.
