Federal employees represented by eight unions, including NTEU, will not be subject to mass layoffs under a court order that was extended today by a federal judge.

After a hearing in court, U.S. District Judge Susan Illston granted the unions’ request for a preliminary injunction, which further protects certain federal employees from unlawful reductions-in-force during the government shutdown.

NTEU is proud to stand with AFGE, AFSCME and other federal employee unions as we fight back against the administration’s harmful plan to fire thousands of federal employees across the country without cause.
