On National Voter Registration Day, NTEU is reminding our members that there’s no “off-year” for making sure you’re ready to vote.
There are more than 100,000 local and state elections this fall, and next year voters decide who will serve in all U.S. House seats and 35 U.S. Senate seats.
While voter turnout often dips for midterm elections when the president is not on the ballot, these elections are especially important for federal employees. Members of Congress have a say about your pay, benefits and workplace rights. At this critical moment for NTEU and our members, it’s important that we work collectively to elect members of Congress who are going to support federal employees and your right to union representation.
The first step is making sure you’re registered to vote here. Then, watch for more information about getting involved in NTEU’s election programs and making a difference in the months ahead.
