The standard per diem rate for official travel will increase to $178 per day for lodging and meals and incidental expenses, according to the General Services Administration.
The higher rates will take effect Oct. 1.
The standard rate, which applies to most of the continental U.S., increased from $107 to $110 for lodging, and from $59 to $68 for meals and incidental expenses. For travel in the 296 non-standard areas, per diem rates are higher. GSA has a searchable per diem calculator for employees to determine exact per diem rates.
