Reardon Urges House to Oppose Anti-Telework Bill

NTEU National President Tony Reardon sent a letter urging House members to oppose legislation that would sharply restrict federal telework programs.

The bill is set for a vote on the House floor this week.

The SHOW UP Act would mandate that all federal agencies abandon cost-saving telework programs and return to pre-pandemic telework policies, ending telework for tens of thousands of NTEU-represented employees.

“Beyond the clear benefits to taxpayers in reduced leasing costs and increased productivity, telework and remote work have also helped with employee recruitment, retention and satisfaction,” Reardon wrote to House members.
