Can I Express Partisan Political Opinions on Social Media?

It depends. In 2018, the U.S. Office of Special Counsel updated  Hatch Act social media guidelines outlining when it’s acceptable, or not, to engage in social media. In general, all federal employees may use social media and comply with the Hatch Act if they remember these three rules outlined in this issue of the NTEU Bulletin.
