It’s Officially Filing Season: Here are Three Common Questions (and Answers)

Today the nation's tax filing season officially begins. As the IRS begins accepting and processing 2019 tax year returns, NTEU is answering  three common questions to help you get started: 

What are the most common errors people make when filing taxes?

How will I know when to expect my refund?

The IRS has a web page and an app for that. With your social security number, filing status and expected refund amount, you can track the status of your refund check here.

When are taxes due in 2020?

The deadline to file 2019 tax returns is Wednesday, April 15, 2020. More than 150 million individual tax returns are expected to be filed this year.
