Senate Passes CR; Bill Moves to the White House

Earlier today, the Senate passed a continuing resolution (CR) to keep the government open and funded through Dec. 20.  Funding under the current CR expires at midnight tonight.

The White House has indicated that the president will sign the bill to extend funding through Dec. 20.

Over the next four weeks, congressional leaders and administration officials will continue to work to reach a final spending agreement and avoid another holiday shutdown.
