NTEU’s new public service announcement (PSA) has aired hundreds of times on television stations, and now two NTEU chapters have teamed up to bring its important message to the workplace.
Last month, Chapters 22 (IRS Philadelphia) and 71 (IRS Philadelphia Campus) invited Rep. Dwight Evans (D-Pa.) to a joint lunch and learn to promote NTEU’s “Federal Employees—They Work for Us” campaign.
"Congressman Evans' visit was important, because it communicated to our employees that the services they perform for the American taxpayer are important and essential to the success of the United States," said Chapter 22 President Horatio Fenton.
Speaking before a standing-only room, Rep. Evans reiterated his support for federal employees and vowed to continue opposing attacks on federal retirement, benefits and rights. This event marked the first time a member of Congress has visited this IRS Philadelphia Campus since it opened in 2011.
