Congress has approved a continuing resolution (CR) to fund the government through Dec. 9.
It is good news for federal employees and the citizens they serve that their work will not be interrupted by a government shutdown. Passage by Congress of a 10-week continuing resolution has ended, for now, the anxiety that employees were facing as the new fiscal year draws close.
NTEU continues to believe that the federal agencies are suffering from years of underfunding and we will work toward increasing their budgets so that employees have the resources necessary to fulfill their responsibilities to our nation.
